Kansas City, Mo. --- In front of an intense Sprint Center crowd Friday night, Iowa State made 68 percent of its field goal attempts in the second half and cruised past No. 10 Kansas by a 94-83. The Cyclones advanced to Saturday's Big 12 Tournament Championship game where they will play either Texas or Baylor.

Of course, it wasn't easy. The Cyclones overcame a 16-0 Jayhawk run in the middle of the first half and trailed Kansas by two at the break. Georges Niang took over in the second half. The Iowa State sophomore scored a game high 25 points before exciting with 1:23 to play due to a nasty cut on his right eye (we will have updates on Niang's condition after locker room interviews).

Five Cyclones ended the game in double figures, a game where Iowa State made 11-of-19 3-point shots.

Saturday's title game will tip at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
