Dan McCarney is an Iowa State icon. That’s why we don’t have any problems putting news about him on the front page of CycloneFanatic.com.
McCarney, who led Iowa State’s football program from 1995 to 2006, inked a new five-year deal with North Texas on Monday. Last season, the Mean Green went 9-4 and won the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
McCarrney is currently 60-years old. The deal gives "Danny Mac" security throough the 2018 season.
