No doubt about it; Mac inks a new deal at North Texas

Dan McCarney is an Iowa State icon. That’s why we don’t have any problems putting news about him on the front page of CycloneFanatic.com

McCarney, who led Iowa State’s football program from 1995 to 2006, inked a new five-year deal with North Texas on Monday. Last season, the Mean Green went 9-4 and won the Heart of Dallas Bowl. 

McCarrney is currently 60-years old. The deal gives "Danny Mac" security throough the 2018 season.

Williams, a 2007 graduate of Iowa State’s Greenlee School of Journalism, is the former publisher of the old CycloneNation.com (Scout.com). He has also served as a columnist for the Ames Tribune, a reporter for CycloneReport.com and is the former sports director at KMA Radio in Shenandoah, Iowa. When Williams isn’t working, you can usually find him doing something outdoors with his wife Ashley, daughter Camryn, and Golden Retriever, Dierks. He enjoys golfing, boating, country music, the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Braves and is passionate about any and all motor sports so finding Williams at a local dirt track is very common.
