Football sets ticket record, Pollard signs extension

Tuesday was a newsworthy evening. 

Iowa State held its annual “Meet the Coaches Night” at the Seven Flags Events Center in Des Moines . During the program where approximatley 1,000 Cyclone fans gathered, two newsworthy items were announced and later confirmed on Iowa State’s official athletic department Twitter site @CycloneATH. 

Iowa State’s new President, Dr. Steven Leath announced that Athletics Director Jamie Pollard had recently signed a five-year contract extension.

Additonally, the football program has sold a record of over 38,000 season tickets for 2012. The previous record was of 37,859.

He Iowa State football's postgame show host on the Cyclone Radio Network and can be heard daily from 4-7 on Des Moines' top-rated sports station, 1460 KXnO. He has also served as a columnist for the Ames Tribune, a reporter for CycloneReport.com and is the former sports director at KMA Radio in Shenandoah, Iowa. He enjoys golfing, boating, country music, the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Braves and is passionate about any and all motor sports so finding Williams at a local dirt track is very common.
